It’s not hard to understand why we as human beings are so frustrated with today’s society of go go go at 100/kmh into a brick wall. We are slowly being programmed into believing we have to go faster and faster to get things done, things we don’t even remember or at many times know why we even are doing them!

To top it all off, everything is slowly becoming automated making the need for human beings to do the work obsolete! More people with less jobs to do because of automation. How does that work? Take for instance recorded messages, press 1 for complaints, press 2 for grief, press 3 for just because we want to piss you off, press 4 to blow up this recording! Not hard to understand why most press 0 to bypass it all to get to a “real” person.

Along with this we are losing our ability to properly communicate with people when we are not on the phone, out in the actual world doing things, things like living. When we are communicating it is in the form of short quick vocal bursts with no eye contact being made, always or usually looking off into space or down at the ground. Why? Who knows, my suggestion is to look up, face whoever it is and look into those eyes. Making eye contact, that’s what’s sexy this week. (more…)

There you are walking down the street minding your own business, when suddenly a complete stranger says to you,

“I just wanted to tell you, that you look really nice!”

Catching you completely off guard!

What do you do, ignore it, keep on going, politely smile, or nothing at all? I’ll tell you, you stop and politely acknowledge the praise from a stranger that has been graciously presented your way, and praise from a stranger is what’s sexy this week.

Provided it is praise that is not with an ulterior motive of which is pretty damned easy to determine if your not an idiot, or praise which may be and warranted or wanted, it’s still praise that should be warmly and most graciously accepted! (more…)

I’ve never been good at accepting praise, and maybe because for a period of time I never truly believed in myself, but always in others. Something I am reluctant to admit, I still do! However from time to time I am gently, and sometimes not so gently reminded to take a compliment or accept the praise given to me by those close to me, and even those that have come across my path for a short time.

One thing I do know, is that I am not alone when it comes to brushing off a compliment, or hiding in the shadows when a little praise is passed my way. You know who I am talking about, YOU! There are many of you out there that do the same, and trust me when I say there have been many times when I told someone to shut up and take the compliment! Taking a compliment, that’s whats sexy this week!

Again I was reminded about the power of voice, and in particular mine, when I met up with an old friend from my earlier fetish days here Vancouver when I was hosting Body Perve’s Presentation of Fetish Night some 20 years ago. Yes, that’s right, 20 years ago!

The human body is an amazing machine that for the most part, many take for granted without a thought or a care as to how it works and the great care it takes to keep it running at optimal performance. We eat, sleep, and breathe, the basics, to keep our bodies running smoothly, but each of those three basics are much more complex than the oblivious and ignorant care to take the time to learn about. Learning about how your body works, and the process to maintain it’s mobility and optimal functioning, that’s whats sexy the week.

Poetic words to live by and let’s be honest we are all fighting it to some degree, and if not gracefully, then pretty damn ugly. I am no “negative nelly” when it comes to having the services of a cosmetic surgeon attend to my upkeep, hell no! I am all for it, but there are definitely times when going overboard looks as though you’ve been out to sea for months on end, stranded by yourself in a dingy with nothing else but you and your urine. In other words a hot mess!!

We all wear them from a young age unless of course you had those free thinking, free wheeling parents that didn’t care and had you running around commando as a kid. Underwear, yes they have evolved over the centuries, and to the happy place I love being alive in, the 21st century! Worn for practical reasons, and we know what those reasons are, they are personal to each and every one of us.

However when reaching adolescence and having had a gander or two, or three at the latest and greatest fashion magazines of our times, something gets turned on in most of us hot blooded animals, a little something called lust and desire. A lust and desire for the body that wears those sexy underthings, or to possibly be that body in those sexy underthings, sexy underwear, that’s what sexy this week.

Men spend a lot of time and a great deal of care working their arms, their biceps, triceps, and deltoids into works of art, sculpted marble, muscles that move and flex like molten lead. The women work as equally hard, doing the same thing, only to varying degrees in producing the desired shape, size and tone. Beautiful muscles well defined, stretching over bone and cartilage making strong arms, that’s what sexy this week.

Big strong arms of a man to wrap around you, smother and hold tight, arms to touch and caress, or simply admire from afar. The delicate sinews and sensuous arms of a woman, smooth and soft, shapely and strong capable of a long embrace. (more…)

Let me start off by pointing out that I am no angel! Especially when it comes to having had my fair share of mind and body altering substances in the context of being social, or for extended periods of “boot knocking action”, I am NO angel! However in the past few years, lets say five for the sake of argument, I’ve been seeing and hearing a shift from folks regarding the type of sex they are having. Sex that I am indulging in as well, sex that is clean & sober, and that’s what’s sexy this week.

We have many erogenous zones throughout our complex bodies, from head to toe, side to side, and all the places in between. One of my favourites, so intricate, full of purpose with flowing lines and deep cavities, hard and firm, yet soft and pliable, attached on either side of the head, the ears. The inner ear the collective organ that filter vibration so we can hear, and the outer ear consisting of tissue made up of cartilage, dermis, and epidermis creating a working structure to aid in the workings of the organ, the inner ear.

Life is sexy and everything in it, at least it should be to be each and every person. It’s not always about in your face sex, sex, sex, which however is what I think about on an almost constant basis, but for those that read my work and follow my activism, you’ll know I am about so much more. We all like to feel good, and we get to feel good in so many different ways, through communication, touch, laughter and of course sex, but how about kindness? The kindness of strangers, that’s what sexy this week.

Forgive me for being overly philosophical or emotional, but I have met a lot of folks in my travels, and folks that I don’t even know. Folks that make it a habit of saying hello or generally complimenting me on something they have seen me do, or read about. As a public figure, and no not on the level of Hollywood personalities, but a local community personality, I am definitely out there in the public eye.
