I’m a commodity, commodity me! Most of us know what “commodity’ means, when applied to inanimate objects, but when applied to living beings, heavens forbid, a furor ensues. The belief held by many, that human beings just cannot, be commodified! Well guess what, you’re wrong!

I’m a sex worker, a service provider of fetish and a good portion of interests therein. I write a ‘good portion’ simply because I have my boundaries, I’m not a “free for all” provider, but a professional that caters to a select set of interests. Just ask me, I’ll gladly supply you with that info.

Along the way I learned a lot about placing ads to advertise myself, and my services. Ads that were text, text with photos, and in the early days or phone chat lines, voice ads. Ads that showcased me, and my services that always appeared in the proper sections provided by the host advertising avenue. Ads that for good reason, were about me.

I knew what I was up to, and focusing on my unique appearance and interests was just the way to get those clients. I commodified myself, no one else did it, me and only me, it was my choice, my idea, promotion of my crafting. There was no gun to my head, or abuser, or pimp, just me. No bad habits, no desperation, no nothing of the sort.

Let’s start from the beginning; I’m 6’1” tall, or 189cm, blonde hair (bleached now) with green eyes, physically fit (because I exercise daily) with measurements that read 36G 30 39 at 190lbs and size 11 feet for all you foot fetishists. My skin is ghost white, (you can see through it to my veins, jury still out for me on that, and no tanning is not an option) so yes I’m Caucasian. I’m unique to myself and the clients that are seeking or in need of someone like me!

No, the world of sex worker advertising is not a ‘free for all” of wanton ads with clients seeking out every provider for random thrills and chills. Rather, it’s a tool to showcase each service provider with their own unique product and or brand that clients view to seek out those specific providers. The finely perfected skill of “ad creation” providers themselves have honed to sell themselves, their unique skills, service provision, as the commodities they are, and or have created.

What the offended masses don’t understand, and most likely never will, is that we are not the same as one and another. We cater to a multitude of variance in our respective interests. We have different looks, personalities, interests, services, hours, and rates. We are autonomous workers with agency. We like it that way, actually we love it that way!

Because we choose to do as we do, does not mean we demean or undermine ourselves of our confidence and truth to ourselves. We celebrate ourselves, our colleagues, our work. We celebrate our uniqueness, our differences, and our services.

It’s good to be different, to be loud, proud, and our own commodities!

Ageism, It’s Plain Ugly

Ageism-plain-ugly-2

age·ism
/ˈājˌizəm/
noun
prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age.

Let’s be honest, there is no better to way to describe ageism but as plain ugly, and for many engaged in sex work, they too are no strangers to the ageist attitudes of those ugly enough to inflict it.

Sex work is complex delicate work that nurtures the souls of those that seek out the services of providers gracious enough to that provide what they need. A delicate nurturing of mind, body, and soul, so it’s no wonder that those who become attached to their provider, stick with them for a very long time. Over the course of that relationship factors that usually dictate otherwise are obvious, retirement, an address change to a new city or location, and in many circumstances, even death. Just to name a few.

Sex work is an industry that has nurtured a youthful appearance towards sex and sexuality, in favour of overlooking the fact, the population ages. That sex is only for and had by the physically young, which begs the question; what of the young at heart, mind, and soul? Bonds between a client and provider are forged in steel and for those that are willing to go that extra mile, these bonds can be everlasting.

Lip Prints

sexy-this-week-lip-prints-1

Lip prints left behind for all to enjoy!

The application of lipstick truly is an art form. Luscious lips enhanced in vivid sensual colours to enlarge, define and captivate curious onlookers are all the rage world wide. Well maybe not the “rage”, but certainly a fashion statement that for those in the know are worn well for all the right reasons.

Reasons of my own, but reasons surely shared by the many who adorn those beautiful lips, and certainly those who adore them. Yes I’ve written about painted lips before, and I know I’ll be doing it again and again. Musings that don’t tell the average person who “get’s it” to think twice about it, but rather hopefully encourage those that don’t.

Erotic Art, That’s What’s Sexy This Week

sexy-this-week-erotic-art-larry-vincent-garrison

Erotic art, that’s what sexy this week.

We all know I love art of multiple kinds, but one particular genre of the sexuality kind I truly love, is the erotic. I find it compelling, inviting, thought provoking, and downright sexy. To be inspired by erotic art is the very least I can write, because its a combination of all these elements that help to put a smile on a person’s, and their mind!

O Force 2 Male Vibrator Review

O Force 2 Male Vibrator

As many of you remember I was reviewing adult toys in the not so distant past, things changed and I took a break from it. Well I’m back, sort of!

“Therapeutical Aids,” that’s what I call these toys, because sex and orgasm is supposed to be therapeutic, no?

I’m starting back at it with the O Force 2, male masturbator that boasts “five different intensities to produce potent stimulation” provided by two separate motors, the major difference from it’s predecessor the O Force. On first glance, the packaging is simple, sleek, and without the tacky dated pictures of porn stars with that hilariously fake orgasm face. Instructions are printed on the outside of the box with illustrations detailing the 3 AA batteries it requires, the 5 speeds, and that it’s waterproof. Simple enough.

Cleavage and Plunging Décolletage, That’s What’s Sexy This Week.

loren_mansfield_Cleavage_Plunging_Décollatage_Sexy_This_Week

The sensuous line and curves the cleavage beholds of the plunging décollatage, that’s what’s sexy this week.

Wikipedia defines Cleavage as the exposed area between a woman’s breasts lying over the sternum, and refers only to what is visible with clothing (or dense, nontransparent body art) that includes a low-cut neckline, the décolletage. Yes, this a shameless ditty about the titty on display, because a little or a lot of objectification can go a long way.

The Male Chest in a Fitted Dress Shirt, That’s Whats Sexy This Week!

I’m not one to shy away from shameless exploitation of the sexes, especially if it’s all in good fun. As we slowly ebb into fall, all those beach bodies on glorious flagrant display are opting to modestly disappear behind the opaque barriers of fabric. With the fall, comes the addition of clothes for the creatures of the beach, setting the stage for a new form of ogling to take place.

The male chest in a well fitted dress shirt, that’s what sexy this week.

I love the cut of a well tailored dress shirt and the way it fits the body. The buttons, the cuffs and collar, yoke, colours and patterns, sewn together to form the garment worn for business, casual, or a hot night out. Well pressed and starched to lay smooth across a well defined chest and dutifully conceal the results of long hours at the gym.

Transgender Day of Remembrance TDOR

Transgender-day-remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, is observed annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community. However, for many of us it means so much more and in different ways. Transgender Day of Remembrance, that’s what’s important this week.

Fleshlight’s Freak Series and Zombie Dildo’s Just in Time For Hallowe’en and Beyond

wacky-wednesday-fleshlights-freak-series-

Since Halloween is just around the corner, my favourite time of the year, I thought it would be the ideal post to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve in sexy wacky style. Let me remind you that Wacky Wednesday was created to showcase all things wacky in the world of sex toys, and we know there is a lot. However Wacky Wednesday has also grown to include the “wild and wondrous” of the internet, showcasing creations I find in my travels in cyber land, in case you were wondering.

As a sex toy reviewer, why not? After all it is halloween and people don’t stop fucking just cause they are handing out candy do they? I only hope they are not doing both at the same time!

Internet Trolls Creeping Around for This Week’s Tidbits

Trolls, I’m not talking about the mythical cave-dwelling being depicted in folklore as either giant or dwarf, typically having an ugly appearance. Nor am I writing about the cute, cuddly, sweet looking, creatures with brightly coloured hair, in the latest instalment from Dreamworks. I’m talking about Internet Trolls, and although not mythical, what they do share is the commonality of being ugly, from the inside out.

An Internet Troll according to Wikipedia; In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting quarrels or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion, often for the troll’s amusement.
