Luscious legwear in the form of stockings, stay-ups, or pantyhose. Legwear that comes in a multitude of colours, patterns, deniers, and sizes to adorn the appendages of women, and the men that dare. The final accessory to an outfit, to enhance, accentuate, cover and adorn, luscious legwear, that’s what sexy this week.

Leggings and legwear have been worn for ages, by the late great kings and queens, to the courtesans of Europe, the Giesha of Japan, and the stylish of today. Originally made of linen, cotton, wool or silk, they were worn for warmth, but as hemlines rose and legs were exposed, so to did demand. It wasn’t until 1939 when DuPont introduced nylon, an affordable, durable, sheer alternative was born. It wasn’t until 1959 that the pantyhose made their debut and rivalled that of stockings, soon to surpass sales as the new alternative.

Rising even higher hemlines made sure pantyhose stayed on top of sales causing a sharp decline in the sales of stockings, where it has remained to this day, sales only rivalled by the advent of stay-ups.

I’m going to start this review off with a little bit off a RANT!

As Canadian who resides in Canada, North America, I question why products are released after they have already been made available to the masses in other countries? Most notably Europe, then Asia, Australia, and then to us lowly miscreants here in North America. It frustrates me to no end, as if we in this part of the world don’t want the new and improved, or just the plain new! It would be nice to see that change, even if just a little.

My finger nails are something I always have! It’s just one element that goes into being me!

Long luscious fingernails that I feel finish and compliment my hands. Something I know a lot of other women feel the same way, just as they do about their hair. For me its all about the total ook from top to bottom.

Yes I’m high maintenance, but it’s maintenance I look after no one else. I choose it, so I work on it! Starting from my health from the inside out, eat right, trips to the gym, my hair, make-up, clothes and the finer things. 

Again my fingernails are no exception to that rule, and I’ve added them to my schedule of monthly maintenance! It’s a treat I give to myself and I’m very appreciative of that fact, to be able to treat myself to some of these finer things in life I covet. I work hard, and some would say I play hard. Meh!

Let’s be honest, we all love them! Those little coverings that grace a beautiful breast, to entice, and captivate, while retaining a little “modesty’ for the wearer. Creations adorned with jewels artfully and intricately placed atop, lace, leather, or satin, the perfect accessory for any nipple.

Lipstick shades come and go, dramatic luscious colours, and throughout the year colour vibrancy changes along with the seasons. In spring time colours lighten up, for the most part summers go nude, and with the fall, colours deepen and intensify. Colour used to make up for the drab of the impending “doom” of the fall and winter seasons. Seasons portrayed as dull and grey and reflected in the fashions of the day, all except the lips. Pouty sexy lips to wear punches of colour through to the returning spring. Dramatic luscious colours in fall, that’s what’s sexy this week.

Beautifully manicured sexy nails, that’s what sexy this week. Many of us remember being told  “don’t bite your nails” which doesn’t stop some folks from gnawing away, while others take great care to file, buff, extend and polish the horn-like envelope that cover the tips of fingers and toes. Beautifully, painstakingly painted, and well cared for to finish off the fingers and toes, beautifully manicured nails, that is what’s sexy this week.

For millennia, well manicured nails have been much coveted, a status symbol of days gone by that have attracted the attention of all sexes. Young or old are drawn to looking at the finishes that adorn the tips. Bright shiny, or matte colours, patterns, nail art and little sculptures, even jewelled adornment now add to the allure of a finished nail.

As the temperature cools with the summer nearing it’s end, and bare legs still fresh in our minds, it’s difficult to muster up the desire to cover up those gams with clothes of some kind. 

The cuffs and hemlines that rose, now get lower, but an age old solution to that situation that’s not only practical, but down right sexy, is hosiery, the perfect accessory for all legs, that’s what sexy this week.

Choosing to wear stockings, stay-ups, pantyhose or leggings is the decision of the wearer, but maybe, just maybe, I can help convince you to put on a pair with a few descriptives of my own.

Did I say I liked to wear hosiery? Well I do, and I have quite the collection of my own silky smooth soft coverings. I love my stockings held up with a garter belt, but I also love my stay-ups for days when I’m going commando under a skirt or dress. Or try a pair of pantyhose that stretch across a firm ass as the best shapely adornment possible for those that want to caress, but the sign says “don’t touch!”

Most women can never have a enough of them, and just when you think they do, another masterful piece of art catches the eye of an admirer out for a stroll on the high street of shopping in any cosmopolitan city. The endless designs, the bright shiny colours, the fabrics, the skins, the buckles, laces, zippers, and snaps, and oh the heels. Those talons reaching ever higher, killer spikes, barely able to balance on, the high heels, and that’s what’s sexy this week.

From a young age, the unbeknownst connoisseur already has a seed that’s been deeply planted into the subconscious mind, it may just be genetics, rooted over time deep within your DNA. Young girls long to run around in Mommy’s shoes dressed as the perfect princess, even the boys are want to try them on!

We all wear them from a young age unless of course you had those free thinking, free wheeling parents that didn’t care and had you running around commando as a kid. Underwear, yes they have evolved over the centuries, and to the happy place I love being alive in, the 21st century! Worn for practical reasons, and we know what those reasons are, they are personal to each and every one of us.

However when reaching adolescence and having had a gander or two, or three at the latest and greatest fashion magazines of our times, something gets turned on in most of us hot blooded animals, a little something called lust and desire. A lust and desire for the body that wears those sexy underthings, or to possibly be that body in those sexy underthings, sexy underwear, that’s what sexy this week.

Sometimes the summer months bum me out….sometimes! Mostly I miss wearing my stockings or fishnet pantyhose. They feel so great stretched across these legs, well ok, gams! I have legs that go on forever with a 33 inch inseam and let me tell you finding anything to cover them isn’t always easy! Aside from DIM, my new fave brand for sexy coverings happens to be FIORE. Made in Poland, they are structured, strong, and have a multitude of colours, styles, and patterns.
