Erotic Art, That’s What’s Sexy This Week

sexy-this-week-erotic-art-larry-vincent-garrison

Erotic art, that’s what sexy this week.

We all know I love art of multiple kinds, but one particular genre of the sexuality kind I truly love, is the erotic. I find it compelling, inviting, thought provoking, and downright sexy. To be inspired by erotic art is the very least I can write, because its a combination of all these elements that help to put a smile on a person’s, and their mind!

Artist’s depictions of erotism have been created for centuries, not just in nude human form, but in some of the unlikeliest. Items found in daily life, the sexy-this-week-erotic-art-melon-lovehome, the streets, renditions dreamt up in the minds of the ingenious. Inventive depictions using fruits and vegetables, found in architecture, items from the beach, or the clouds in the sky.

I think you get the point from my over zealous examples, but this is exactly what erotic art does for me, it stimulates me.

I definitely know I’m not the only one stimulated by erotic art, because if the line up down the street was any indication at this years Boobies and Wieners Erotic Art Show, then stimulation and titillation was what the throngs were in line for. If you’ve never been, then I suggest you keep an eye out for next year’s show. You’ll love the art, and the energy of the folks at the show. Giggling, chatting, sipping on a cocktail or two and possibly buying a piece of art to hang on a wall at home. The art is beautiful, erotic, sexy, and well worth the incentive.

Erotic art isn’t for everyone, and I’m not quite sure why. I prefer to believe its the uncomfortable embarrassment and nothing else, proving my point about stimulation. I remember a school trip to Kleinburg Ontario, the home of the McMichael Art Collection dedicated to the Group of Seven. During this visit an exhibition of nudes from the masters of old were on display, but our classes were not allowed to see them. A decision made by one of our teachers, a rather outspoken religious woman, a decision that didn’t stop me. I snuck away from the group, eager to feast my eyes upon the lusty canvasses denied my eyes, and see what all the fuss was about.

Rounding the corner on the second floor of the gallery while my classmates were bombarded with boredom from the Group of Seven, I was stopped dead in my tracks. A woman in full recline on a red velvet chaise with creme coloured fabrics draping her shoulders, across her torso, trailing down to her feet and across. It was beautiful, the colours, the richness, the decadence, and the casual repose. This is what we were not allowed to see?

Lasting impressions, an imprint I am grateful for because I was caught not to long after for “straying” from the group.

Again, art is truly in the eye of the beholder, I just happen to like mine vivid, beautiful, sexy, and above all erotic. I like stimulation, don’t you?sexy-this-week-erotic-art-canova-nude-recline-pauline-bonaparte

Luc Latulippe, Designer, Illustrator, Animator

Luc Latulippe, Designer, Illustrator, animator for the Wild and Wondrous side of this week’s Wacky Wednesday.

Ok, so how else was I going to get more of your attention if I didn’t make my feature image a little saucy? Luc Latulippe, artist extraordinaire, is another talented individual under the sheets of Vancouver’s hotbed of talent. In his words “starting out in animation 20 years ago,” he now also “works as a designer, illustrator and artist having contributed hundreds of illustrations to magazines, newspapers, and creative agencies across Canada, the US, Hong Kong, and parts of Europe.”

His work embodies humour for the modern adult using lines that are crisp and clean, with bold solid colours to produce eye catching results. Some would say quirky, others bizarre, but for all who appreciate his talent the end result is not only a new found appreciation, but a smile across a face.

To the untrained eye his images would appear simple, however they are anything but. Detailed, well thought out renderings. Illustrations that seem to draw on toys from a distant childhood; wind-up robots, ray-guns, Ker Plunk, even the memorable Rock-em Sock-em Robots with their bold colours and blocky design.

Comic like, another stye reminiscent of cartoons like Rocky and Bullwinkle, Natasha and Boris, even Mr Peabody & Sherman, a cartoon that ran from 1959-62. Most recently Luc worked on a reboot of the classic cartoon for Netflix, with the 4th and last season that began April 21st for it’s final run.

Under those sheets this man likes a bit of naughty fun; within another style you can catch his dancing leather men, aptly named “dancing queen” up for grabs on his Porkpie Brand website where he markets more of his own designs for the fashionably addicted. Even I’m a victim of the addiction with my own Leather Daddy tank I used to proudly wear to the gym, unaware of the the one eyed trouser snake making it’s appearance off to the side of those leather chaps. It didn’t stop me wearing it to the gym, but with wear and tear, it became my fave nightgown that oversized tank.

There’s Space Girl, Hula Girl, Lol Kaiju, and Popper Pete.

His Gay Hankies reminding me of old ads for Amsterdam peep shows.

His sassy art prints; big hairy chested men on the make are sexy fun.

I could go on, but if you’ve read my reviews before, you know I try to keep them short and sweet and let you decide.

Manga Dolls by Youtsuki, for Wild and Wondrous of Wacky Wednesday

manga-dolls-youtsuki-arts-culture-velvetsteele-1

Manga figures by Youtsuki are something to behold! We know I love my dolls especially when they are the ultra detailed fashionable type that Silkstone Barbie put’s out, or Marina Bychkova of Russia. To name a few.

However these dolls just quite literally came across my path during my travels in cyber space, and with no details about the artist/creator. Of course I had to dig, and dig deep, still coming up with virtually nothing except a book on WATTPAD that details each doll that’s been created, with a complete character profile. “Own Characters” by Youtsuki, it’s an interesting read, profiles that breathe new life into each and every one of them.

We know I love my fetish, and over on Flickr, Youtsuki has a detailed assortment on display for your eager eyes. From boudoir babes, what looks like the body of a stylized Vampirella, stylized french maids in varying poses, sexy nurses, and one of my own faves the office bitch, who could also pass for a college girl. Even the cute “rabit”. Most are labelled with numbers and symbols, but you’ll find their names listed in the book after some diligent cross checking.

Gus Modeste for the Wild and Wondrous Side of Wacky Wednesday

Gus-Modeste-Dead-Within

Gus Modeste for the Wild and Wondrous Side of Wacky Wednesday is certainly an artist to behold.

I meet a lot of people in life and travels, some that are quite clearly characters in their own right, some full of hot air with egos just as full, and some, just super modest. Gus Modeste is just such a person and I’m not sure if his last name is a play on words, but I’m willing to run with it. We met on Instagram and I’ve been intrigued ever since.

I didn’t now this, but after a little homework I learned that he is a very well known artist, not only for his detailed carving, but equally so in his talent and lust for painting. Gus-Modeste-3 His work is easily recognizable with his attention to every little detail, clean lines and ever stunning expressions in all of his carvings. Gus-Modeste-1 Whether traditional or contemporary, he is just as professional and passionate  as a First Nations Master artist

Penis bleaching…..

pipedream-ceramix-no6-dildo-black-white_wacky_wednesday_ penis_bleaching

Penis bleaching….. Well here you have it folks the latest out of Thailand. Something else I came across in my travels through internet space I thought worth sharing.

Yes for quite some time anal bleaching has been favoured by many thinking that their lovable and or loved “bullet wound” is just not the right shade and have resorted to the use of lasers,  creams, lotions and potions to get that desired shade.

Vanity has taken many forms, and people go to great “lengths” to obtain that ideal, and I’m no stranger to going under the knife or laser. As a person who has experienced a great many treatments, I have to say there are some that are flat out snake oil concoctions and procedures that I reserve my right to have those opinions. Just ask me, I‘ll tell you what I think.

Crannog Photographic of Glasgow for This Weeks Wacky Wednesday

wacky wednesday-crannog-photographic-Heavy-Horses-in-Pollok-Park-Glasgow

I love to travel, and although I haven’t been able to as of late, I can still appreciate the beauty of the world through photographs the many talented photographers throughout the world provide us with.

Yes, I do have a thing for beauty, and yes I do have a thing for beauty outside of the fetish and erotic communities. I find it in many things, and hot on the heels of my post A Change of Seasons for Sexy This Week, a friend in a little note also expressed the same interest. A friend in Scotland, a place I’ve never been, but do plan on going.  (more…)

Latex Art, Bold and Beautiful for this Week’s Wacky Wednesday

wacky-wednesday-michelle-mildenhall-queen-elizabeth

wacky-wednesday-michelle-mildenhall-work-in-progress

Latex art that’s bold and beautiful! As a fetishist, I scour the internet for all kinds of lovely jewels and this pretty lady, Michelle Mildenhall is a UK artist with a very unique “pop art style,” unique because it’s created using latex.

wacky-wednesday-michelle-mildenhall-vladimir-putin

Some folks would label her work as provocative, for me I see it as progressive, utilizing a substance so coveted for BDSM fashions and pervery it was just a matter of time to see it used to create visual delights to be hung on any connoisseur’s walls.

High-Tide Heels to Keep Your Feet Dry for Wacky Wednesday

wacky-wednesday-High-Tide-Heels-1

So high-tide has overlfowed, and poor Melania Trump, getting picked on for wearing heels to view the devastation hurricane Harvey has left in it’s wake. First off I’m not undermining the issue of the devastation left behind, devastation that we can compare to the wild fires we’re experiencing here in British Columbia, Canada. It’s horrible and a serious wake up call, and to those who keep believing  global warming doesn’t exist, give your idiot brains a shake!

wacky-wednesday-High-Tide-Heels-4-melania-trump-storm-stilettos-

First off we don’t know whey she wore them, and quiet frankly who cares! She’s gorgeous and wears it well, but maybe, just maybe she is wearing shoes like that because she has to? Being married to the man who once was her prince charming, now the world buffoon, may come with a set of rules. He has already proven himself as the misogynist he is by bellowing “grab her in the pussy” and complimenting the president of France’s wife Brigitte Macron on how good she looks as the first things out of his mouth. So much depth, engaging, and intelligent conversation Donald Trump is capable of.

Maybe Melania has to wear them, maybe she was the victim of a cruel joke by his staff, maybe she just didn’t get the memo, or maybe she wore them to look fabulous next to him. It doesn’t take much to do that with a comb-over like that! Either way she did and let’s get over it, because I have found the best option for her for next time it should happen again.

I came across these lovelies in my internet travels, Tide High Heels, originally designed and created by Belgian artist Paul Schietekat for an exhibition in 2006. First published in 2009 in The Telegraph, it appears that these won’t be making any splash at the local shoe stores anytime soon.

I don’t get why, they are colourful, water proof and resistant, great for mobility on land and in the water, and I agree, look so much better

wacky-wednesday-High-Tide-Heels-2

than a pair of flip flops.

Just think of the possibilities folks, dinner and dancing, the opera, the theatre, your next beach side vacation! I’m all for it, and would love a snappy pair to hit the fashion shows of Europe.
