Resilience and the will to survive, that’s what’s sexy this week!

Covid-19 has gripped the world in a state of panic riddled with anxiety and fear. Many are overwhelmed with thoughts of desperation and despair with no way out. Many are lost in thoughts of what to do, how to do it, and is it the right thing to do?

I’m no stranger, and very guilty of all of the afore mentioned trying to formulate my own way out. I’m equally lost, but still find myself antsy to move on, and find my direction. A direction to be honest I don’t know what is.

I think a lot, and get lost in those thoughts of doom and gloom, with no way out. I’ve read and listened to a lot of close friends caught up in the relative conspiracy theories. Friends I believe got, and are getting lost in many of the contradictory stories of who did what, why, and how, with that proverbial no way out. However none of these theories I’ve read allude to or even hint at a rational a solution. And why? They are conspiracies, theories that make you truly think, and for me, not get lost in them.

My attempts to shake up my friends from these thoughts, friends who are glamoured, I feel are lost. I ask them “but, what are you doing?” “how are you dealing with this?”. Questions that I believe are meant to focus on the positive. Yet, the response is always confusion and radical, confused solutions.

What to do?

I always find myself stepping back and taking a deep breath, a drink when permitting and direct my thoughts to those of something creative.

It’s never easy, and I know that, but here in this hot bed of talent I call home, Vancouver, so many of my friends have figured it out. The resilience and will to survive, even if that means thinking outside of their box to adapt and survive.

We aren’t all creative in the traditional sense, yes I know that, but creativity comes in many forms. It’s all how you interpret! Creative in art, life, love, happiness, business, finance, health and wellness, sex, sexuality, basically lifestyle.

Erotic Art, That’s What’s Sexy This Week

sexy-this-week-erotic-art-larry-vincent-garrison

Erotic art, that’s what sexy this week.

We all know I love art of multiple kinds, but one particular genre of the sexuality kind I truly love, is the erotic. I find it compelling, inviting, thought provoking, and downright sexy. To be inspired by erotic art is the very least I can write, because its a combination of all these elements that help to put a smile on a person’s, and their mind!

Luc Latulippe, Designer, Illustrator, Animator

01-23-19- Luc-Latulippe-Designer-Illustrator-Animator-water-colour-fetishes

Luc Latulippe, Designer, Illustrator, animator for the Wild and Wondrous side of this week’s Wacky Wednesday.

Ok, so how else was I going to get more of your attention if I didn’t make my feature image a little saucy? Luc Latulippe, artist extraordinaire, is another talented individual under the sheets of Vancouver’s hotbed of talent. In his words “starting out in animation 20 years ago,” he now also “works as a designer, illustrator and artist having contributed hundreds of illustrations to magazines, newspapers, and creative agencies across Canada, the US, Hong Kong, and parts of Europe.”

His work embodies humour for the modern adult using lines that are crisp and clean, with bold solid colours to produce eye catching results. Some would say quirky, others bizarre, but for all who appreciate his talent the end result is not only a new found appreciation, but a smile across a face.

Manga Dolls by Youtsuki, for Wild and Wondrous of Wacky Wednesday

manga-dolls-youtsuki-arts-culture-velvetsteele-1

Manga figures by Youtsuki are something to behold! We know I love my dolls especially when they are the ultra detailed fashionable type that Silkstone Barbie put’s out, or Marina Bychkova of Russia. To name a few.

However these dolls just quite literally came across my path during my travels in cyber space, and with no details about the artist/creator. Of course I had to dig, and dig deep, still coming up with virtually nothing except a book on WATTPAD that details each doll that’s been created, with a complete character profile. “Own Characters” by Youtsuki, it’s an interesting read, profiles that breathe new life into each and every one of them.

We know I love my fetish, and over on Flickr, Youtsuki has a detailed assortment on display for your eager eyes. From boudoir babes, what looks like the body of a stylized Vampirella, stylized french maids in varying poses, sexy nurses, and one of my own faves the office bitch, who could also pass for a college girl. Even the cute “rabit”. Most are labelled with numbers and symbols, but you’ll find their names listed in the book after some diligent cross checking.

RIP: Gus Modeste for the Wild and Wondrous Side of Wacky Wednesday

Gus-Modeste-Dead-Within

Gus Modeste for the Wild and Wondrous Side of Wacky Wednesday is certainly an artist to behold.

I meet a lot of people in life and travels, some that are quite clearly characters in their own right, some full of hot air with egos just as full, and some, just super modest. Gus Modeste was just such a person and I’m not sure if his last name is a play on words, but I’m willing to run with it. We met on Instagram and I was intrigued ever since.

I didn’t now this, but after a little homework I learned that he is a very well known artist, not only for his detailed carving, but equally so in his talent and lust for painting. Gus-Modeste-3 His work is easily recognizable with his attention to every little detail, clean lines and ever stunning expressions in all of his carvings. Gus-Modeste-1 Whether traditional or contemporary, he was just as professional and passionate as a First Nations Master artist

Penis bleaching…..

Penis bleaching….. Well here you have it folks the latest out of Thailand. Something else I came across in my travels through internet space I thought worth sharing.

Yes for quite some time anal bleaching has been favoured by many thinking that their lovable and or loved “bullet wound” is just not the right shade and have resorted to the use of lasers,  creams, lotions and potions to get that desired shade.

Vanity has taken many forms, and people go to great “lengths” to obtain that ideal, and I’m no stranger to going under the knife or laser. As a person who has experienced a great many treatments, I have to say there are some that are flat out snake oil concoctions and procedures that I reserve my right to have those opinions. Just ask me, I‘ll tell you what I think.

Crannog Photographic of Glasgow for This Weeks Wacky Wednesday

wacky wednesday-crannog-photographic-Heavy-Horses-in-Pollok-Park-Glasgow

I love to travel, and although I haven’t been able to as of late, I can still appreciate the beauty of the world through photographs the many talented photographers throughout the world provide us with.

Yes, I do have a thing for beauty, and yes I do have a thing for beauty outside of the fetish and erotic communities. I find it in many things, and hot on the heels of my post A Change of Seasons for Sexy This Week, a friend in a little note also expressed the same interest. A friend in Scotland, a place I’ve never been, but do plan on going.  (more…)

Latex Art, Bold and Beautiful for this Week’s Wacky Wednesday

wacky-wednesday-michelle-mildenhall-queen-elizabeth

wacky-wednesday-michelle-mildenhall-work-in-progress

Latex art that’s bold and beautiful! As a fetishist, I scour the internet for all kinds of lovely jewels and this pretty lady, Michelle Mildenhall is a UK artist with a very unique “pop art style,” unique because it’s created using latex.

wacky-wednesday-michelle-mildenhall-vladimir-putin

Some folks would label her work as provocative, for me I see it as progressive, utilizing a substance so coveted for BDSM fashions and pervery it was just a matter of time to see it used to create visual delights to be hung on any connoisseur’s walls.
